Joe Carnahan is an American director, writer, actor and producer known for his films Blood, Guts, Bullets and Octane, Narc, Smokin' Aces, The A-Team, and The Grey.

Early Life[]

Carnahan was born on May 9, 1969, in Sacramento, California, and was raised in both northern California and Michigan. While originally attending San Fransisco State University, Carnahan later transferred to Sacramento State and earned his B.A. in filmography. His brothers are screenwriter Matthew Michael Carnahan and producer Leah Carnahan.

Career[]

Some of his more famous work includes acting, writing, producing, editing and directing Blood, Guts, Bullets and Octane, in which he played Sid French. He also produced The Fourth Kind, directed, produced and wrote The Grey and directed and wrote Smokin' Aces.
