Unanswered QuestionsEdit

  1. This episode was a reference to crony capitalism. Keen mentioned the Nickel–metal hydride battery (NiMH).
  2. What was the meaning of “VC”?
    1. A: Venture Capitalist
  3. Elizabeth Keen
    1. Why was Keen shocked that Red had lied to her?
    2. Why did Keen believe the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR RF) file?
      1. A: On the file, it held a DNA paternity test that claimed that Constantin Rostov is her father. However in “Dr. Adrian Shaw“, it proved to be falsified and Liz learned from Red that Rostov lied to her.
    3. Why did Keen state that she had killed her father? She has stated that her memories are blurred.
    4. Keen’s reference to a “land war in Asia” was a reference to “The Princess Bride”.
  4. Raymond Reddington
    1. What invention was Red interested in?
    2. Red seemed skeptical of Keen’s trap warning.
    3. What is Red going to do with Sebastian Reifler?
  5. Silas Gouldsberry
    1. Silas’s tactics were self-defeating. He could have easily aided the inventors in circumventing the legal restrictions that would be used by the corporations. Another problem was that once something is invented, another person will develop the technology independently. The “genius loner inventor revolutionary” is the exception, not the rule. In addition, Silas did not release the technology for his own gain.
    2. Red’s description about Silas seemed to be a lie. Silas appeared to be an independent agent, as he did not sell the technology to others.
    3. Did Riley Emerson survive?
  6. Constantin Rostov
    1. How did Rostov know about the ambush? Who is the informant that was mentioned?
      1. A: It was revealed to be Liz because she told Red that she needed Rostov alive because he has information to her past that she needs answers from.
  7. Laurel Hitchin
    1. Was Laurel sent by Red to the Post Office?
      1. A: It seemed like she was. As she tells Ressler, she is his boss's boss's boss's boss. So it would make sense she would show up if Cooper had told his boss what they were investigating. Word would have traveled through the chain of command. However, Cooper was surprised that she showed up, which implies Cooper didn't tell his boss. Also, she delivers the invention files to Red at the end.
    2. Laurel and Red seem to have agreed on a truce. Her earlier fear was gone and she implied that Red has bought her loyalty with power and money. She agreed with Red’s plan and has shown none of the skepticism she showed towards Peter Kotsiopulos.
  8. Samar Navabi
    1. Why has Samar not been transferred yet?
      1. A: She still had unfinished business and suspects Aram's girlfriend being up to no good. It is also possible that Samar has feelings for Aram.
    2. Why did Samar tell the manager to revoke Silas’s employee access card?
  9. Donald Ressler
    1. Ressler’s accusation against Laurel could backlash in the future.
    2. Ressler’s decision to aid Tom could be used for future blackmail.
      1. A: In “Dr. Adrian Shaw: Conclusion“, Ressler mentions that Tom owes him a favor for saving his life.
    3. Ressler was certainly involved in obtaining the satellite intelligence for Red.
    4. Is Ressler attempting to romance Samar?
      1. A: No, they share their suspicions on Aram's girlfriend being a spy working for Rostov. This was confirmed in “The Thrushes“ when Ressler, Samar and Cooper showed proof to Aram about his girlfriend.
  10. Tom Keen
    1. Tom’s blackmail tactic was similar to an episode of “Burn Notice”. Shaky evidence is used to blackmail a person in a diplomatic position. The evidence is irrelevant since the accusation is enough to destroy the individual’s career.
  11. Dembe Zuma
    1. Dembe seems to be having doubts about Red’s recent actions.
    2. Dembe was praying in the church, yet in "Anslo Garrick", Red and Dembe recited Al-Ikhlas sura together, what is Dembe's religion?
